Illusion-free love is 2026’s promise to you, Libra. You’ve love myth-busting and real deal planetary changes happening in Aries and your 7th house as Neptune (Jan 26), and Saturn (Feb 14), take up residence. And form the ultimate put-a-ring-on-it union when they meet on Feb 20. Something which has not happened before in our lifetimes.
Neptune rules everything from the fantasy, fairy tale and situationship to that higher love and empathy. But Saturn is grounded, authentic and means business! Saturn transits are when things get serious. It tears down the illusion and delivers the real thing. Or else sucker-punches us out of our denial or delusion. So, to borrow from Joni Mitchell – these two planets represent both sides now when it comes to love or what you know about it.
Real love shouldn’t be hard work – but you do need to work at it. It also can’t be all romance and sparkles. It has to be grounded in the everyday. And above all, it must be right for you. That’s what the Saturn/Neptune odd couple in your 7th are here to show you. Libra and Libra rising can often seek out partners with very Aries qualities. It’s more than just ‘opposites attract’ at play here. The illusion is that Libra often sees those Aries ‘Martian’ go-getting qualities as something they lack. They don’t. They simply express them in a different way. So no, you don’t need to choose a partner on the basis that their qualities ‘complete’ you. You are already complete.
The last time Saturn was in Aries was 1996. If you were 18 or over back then, look to what you committed to. The last time Neptune was in Aries was in the 1860’s! Remember that Aries is the sign concerned with me, myself and I. So, no matter whether you are solo or settled, the main relationship you will be working on is the one you have with yourself. Jupiter in Leo – Dance Like There’s No One Watching
Pluto is now in Aquarius and your 5th of attraction, self-expression and romance for the long term. Your yearly pleasure cycle which takes place between January-February when the Sun and other planets move through Aquarius is merely a preview of what’s to come.
Blazing glory Jupiter in Leo along with the shift of the Nodes from your Pisces/Virgo axis into your 5th/11th houses are set to bring you one of the most loved-up, playful, creative and goal-getting cycles you have experienced in decades, Libra! Jupiter arrives in Leo June 30. The Nodes change signs on July 27 – moving backwards from Pisces and your 6th and Virgo and your 12th into Aquarius and your 5th and Leo and your 11th.
After what may have seemed like periods of heavy going alternated with cosmic drift these past few sssssssssssssssssssss years, this will hand you more than just a summer of love, Libra. With the shift of the Nodes comes a change of the eclipse axis. The two most important for you being the Annular Solar Eclipse in Aquarius on February 17 and then the Total Solar Eclipse in Leo on Aug 12. These are blind spots for you. Especially around love, partnerships, children and creative pursuits. A total eclipse is a complete blackout.
The Leo total eclipse is linked to the one which took place in August 2017. Something may emerge that was concealed back then. Or comes full circle. As a general rule, you should avoid making big decisions especially around partnerships, friendships and even whether to date or mate, in the two days leading up to these eclipses. And the two days afterwards.
Uranus: An Unexpected Journey
A subject or topic may seize your soul as Uranus re-enters Gemini and your 9th of long distance travel, far far away, mass media and learning on April 26. Even if you do not travel under this Uranus (highly unlikely), you will undertake an adventure of the mind or a metaphorical journey as you delve into a specific area of learning and study. Perhaps one radically different than has interested you before. This can be self-directed or even come to you via a work upskilling opportunity. As well as taking the traditional approach as this is your house of universities and higher education.
Uranus delivers fascinating foreigners, facts and upends your thinking. The world can turn up on your doorstep. That ethnic restaurant which has just opened up around the corner turns into your new haunt. Airbnb guests or roomies from other countries and cultures change your outlook. Or even those neighbours. Who you encounter opens up your mind and engages your curiosity.
And yes, unexpected, last minute journeys can happen. Or you find yourself travelling to a place you would never have imagined going to. That bucket list could now contain new destinations. And you’re going there.
Uranus electrifies with the sudden and surprising. This is your house of luck. Something appears like a bolt from the blue. That opportunity, that big love, that trip. Be ready when it does. Home Truths and Belonging
This year brings a Venus retrograde which begins at the time of your birthday season on Oct 3. Venus will begin its retrograde in Scorpio and your 2nd and then return to your sign on Oct 25 before heading direct again on Nov 14. When your ruler is retrograde, this is not the time to go looking for new love – or even that collaborator. And as Venus begins its retrograde in your house of money and values, it is also a good time to rein in your spending and look to your budget.
This year is bookended by supermoons in Cancer and your 10th. You may begin the year focussed on home and family thanks to the supermoon in Cancer and a stellium in Capricorn and your 4th. Decisions will be made around your home, living space, family and direction. You’ll then launch yourself out there in hot, passionate pursuit of those goals. But then, after spending the majority of 2026 in full flight, the last quarter of the year brings you back down to earth. For recharge and also to appreciate just how far you’ve come.
Venus will be direct again in November but December sees both Saturn and Neptune retrograde in Aries. You will end the year in the best position of all when it comes to partnerships and all your relationships, Libra. Trusting the relationship you have with yourself 100%. That’s no illusion.
